How does Anuko CMS work?
Anuko CMS runs on a dedicated server in a data center. You can host your web site with Anuko CMS. If you don't have your own domain name the Anuko CMS service is free of charge, giving you an address (URL) such as:
http://your_prefix.anuko.com If you already own a domain name you can host your web site with Anuko CMS just as easily. You need to configure your domain record and specify our DNS servers to resolve your domain name. Don't worry about technical details. Complete and clear instructions will be provided at the time of your order. Help will be available.
On your web pages there will be an "Edit" link in one of the corners. When you need to edit your site you can use your web browser to go to your site, click this link, and provide (type in or copy and paste) any new text. You can then use the easy to understand easy to understand formatting tags to format your text the way you want it. These tags are used to distinguish elements of your content, such as headers and bold or italic portions of your text. Images are also supported. Can I have a mailbox or mailbox redirect with Anuko CMS Web Hosting plan?
Yes, we can configure a mailbox for your domain. Notice that the basic web hosting plan does not include a mailbox. But most popular web hosting plan does include one mailbox and is just 1 USD per month more than the basic plan. We recommend subscribing to a plan with mailbox. Mailbox services offered through us are offered with a very effective spam protection.
Your mailbox can be configured in 3 ways: either as redirect to your existing mailbox, with direct access via a web browser, or via a popular mail client program.
Mail redirect. With this option all mail coming to your domain mailbox will be redirected to your other, already existing email mailbox.
Access to mailbox via browser. With this option you will be given a web link, login, and password to work with your email. In other words, you use a browser to access your mailbox.
Connecting to mailbox with a mail program. You can configure some mail programs to connect to your mailbox. It can be done via POP or IMAP protocols. The list of such programs includes Apple Mail, Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Mail for desktops and also mail programs for wireless devices such as Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Symbian, Windows Mobile, and SnapperMail.

I already own a domain name. What steps do I take to host my web site with Anuko CMS?
The following procedure describes how to host your web site with Anuko CMS.
- First, buy your Anuko CMS subscription here.
- Contact us and let us know which domain you want to host with Anuko CMS. We will send you instructions how to configure your domain record. Basically, all you need to do is to specify our DNS servers for your domain. Our primary DNS server is ns1.wrconsulting.com (207.44.242.29), and the secondary DNS server is ns1.vcsweb.com (69.60.118.107). In most cases the company that sold you the domain name will be able to do this for you.
- Wait until we configure our DNS servers with your domain information and contact you.
I don't have my own domain name. What steps do I take to host my web site with Anuko CMS?
If you plan to use a site without your own domain name then Anuko CMS hosting service is free of charge. The following procedure describes how to host your free web site with Anuko CMS.
- Register with Anuko CMS first.
- After registration, Anuko CMS will send you an email with a link, which must be clicked to confirm your registration as new Anuko CMS client.
- Then, you will be taken to a page where you need to provide a unique prefix for your site. Select a name, which you like. A web address similar to http://your_prefix.anuko.com will be your URL.
- After you provide a name for your new web site, Anuko CMS will create an initial site for you.
- To edit your site use the "Login" or "Edit" links in the bottom left corner of your site.
If you later decide to host a web site with your own domain name then the procedure is different:
- Buy your domain name first. There are many companies that sell domain names. Shop around as prices may vary. Do an Internet search for "buy domain" to find places where you can buy a domain name.
- Then, purchase your Anuko CMS subscription here.

How easy is it to convert my content from Anuko CMS format to HTML?
As you can see for yourself when editing your site, your content is just plain text with occasional tags that distinguish portions of your content as headers, bold, or italic blocks of text, lists, etc. Conversion of such text to HTML is a trivial procedure for anyone who understands HTML.

Conversion from HTML files to Anuko CMS format is a relatively simple procedure for anyone who understands HTML and the Anuko CMS system. Anuko CMS formatting tags are much easier than HTML tags. How can I remove a no longer needed folder / catalog / directory from my site?
To remove a no longer needed catalog (folder or directory where you keep your content pages in) simply remove all its content. The catalog will be removed automatically. To remove all content from your catalog click on the catalog name in your site map and then delete all pages, including special pages like .menu and .script if you have them. You can remove individual pages by clicking on them and then using the Delete button.
