Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

Hi peter, thanks for investigating. The warning shows up for me when I change the date in unfinished entry, as designed per original request. Ah ha! I wasn't changing the date so that's explains it. My original intent was to prevent accidentally losing a time entry by using Save instead of Copy, and...

Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

A couple months later and "are you sure" has saved me more times than I can count. However it's not triggered if converting an open task to a duration task, at least in this situation. I created an open task in the morning (start time but no end time) with my goals for the day in Comments. Several h...

Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

I just tried the new "Are you sure" feature. Fantastic! I'll never accidentally lose a time record again. :-)

Thanks @wrc. I'll update again when I can confirm if all is ok after running Clean DB.

Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

Hi @wrc. I can login with current code and updated db, but without "Clean up DB". I can't seem to attach more than 2 files to this post, so will send without pics and post them later if anyone wants more detail. I restored the db from a two weeks ago. Running dbinstall.php an old db version as expec...

All users are as expected, except for initial "admin" (which I might have previously deleted via Time Tracker app, but can't s...

Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

Hi @Nik, thanks so much for accepting my proposal. I pulled the latest code, then ran dbinstall.php and "Update database structure (v1.17.97 to v1.18.26)" (although the login page now shows 1.18.29). I then ran "Clean up DB from inactive teams", which reported it deleted unused groups and users (unf...

Re: propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

Exactly what @wrc said! ;-)

I think wrc may understand the solution better than me.

propose "are you sure" if saving edited time entry with modified date

Hi all, it may just be me, but more than once (perhaps even a couple times a month), I have created a new time entry by copying a previous one, then lost the previous entry by Saving instead of Copying. Doh! (much worse language if it was a long comment, and assuming I even realized I'd lost the ori...

Re: mail failure after PHP 7.2 upgrade (SOLVED)

Hi @wrc, thanks for your help. I had forgotten I had accidently blown away my TimeTracker install around the same time as I upgraded to PHP7. I cloned the project repo for a new install, but forgot to configure mail in config.php. Doh!

mail failure after PHP 7.2 upgrade SOLVED (my fault)

Hi, I recently upgraded from PHP 5 to PHP7.2 and all seemed ok (enter and editing time entries, renerating reports, etc.), but I found yesterday that emailing a report shows "Error sending email" in the upper left below the menu. My Apache error log shows: [Fri Oct 26 11:15:22.629452 2018] [php7:war...

how to send notice to user to update time

First, I have just rolled out Time Tracker to a new project team, thanks @Nik and the entire community for making that possible! :D One of the new team members asked if his phone could alert him every hour to ask a) whether to continue on the current project/task, or b) switch to a different project...

Re: Possible to enter time on a weekly basis?

There was a period where weekview was in the base functionality before moving to being a plugin. Is it possible you don't have the plug-in enabled?

Re: How to deal with same user on multiple teams

Hi @Nik, I understand. The best solution seems to be merging my two teams back into one, and to not give the client employee co-manager access. I had ideally wanted to give the client full visibility to "their" team, but restricted access should still be acceptable. Is there a plan to allow users to...

How to deal with same user on multiple teams

Hi, I’ve been using TimeTracker for tracking my own time on client projects. Now I want to use TimeTracker to track the time spent on a client project by *all* the client’s employees and contractors, not just me, to aid project management and project reporting. I would like the senior employee on th...

Re: User roles and rights redesign

Hi Nik, I agree roles and rights are not directly associated with approval workflow, but I expect approval workflow will take advantage of the underlying roles and rights functionality, so it may be useful to at least consider the two together (or at least that was my line of thinking). Cheers.
