How to replace manager user account

How can the manager rights transferred to another user? In my specific scenario, the manager needs to be changed to a regular user and another users needs to be made manager.

I see from the forum that a hack can be used to create another manager account, but there are complications while deleting users.

"A hack to create a second manager is rather simple. In timetracker database, change a particular user's role value to 324. This will make this user a second manager and allow to enter data on behalf of the original manager.

There are side effects, though. Specifically, with deleting users, as Time Tracker code that deals with this assumes only one manager per team."

Swap roles feature is available since Time Tracker 1.17.64.4120.

To swap a role with someone else:

- Upgrade to Time Tracker 1.17.64.4120 or later.
- Login as self.
- Go to swap_roles.php page and downgrade yourself there.

Note that once your role is swapped, you lose rights and rank of a former role, and obtain that of a lower role. You will not be able to swap a lost role back, but the other user will.
