Date is in future

Post by adminhp » Wed Mar 28, 2018 9:40 pm

Hi,
Upgraded to version 1.17.64.4125. When entering a time for future, for example if user leaves for vacation, they might want to submit timesheet before they leave, it gives the Date is in future message and ignores the entry. I am using config.php instead of config.php.dist. From some of the previous posts, I see that I have a section in config.php that handles it, but leaving it commented or removing the comments and changing the value to true doesn't make any difference. Please help.

// FUTURE_ENTRIES - defines whether users can create entries for future dates. Defaults to true.
//
// define('FUTURE_ENTRIES', false);

Did you try setting Future entries in Group options? (Older Profile page, now just called Group in the menu).

Future entries is now a group setting, not server-wide. See attachment. Scroll to the bottom to see it.

Not sure why, but cant see the Group menu. However, once the Future entries check box was checked from the Top Managers profile, it started working.

The Group menu is in the latest code, where Profile is now split in 2 separate tabs - Profile for user and Group for group settings.
