Group managers in Mile Tracker have an option to configure display options for tracking units. For example, you may want your tracking units to be only integer numbers (5 miles, 100 miles, etc.). In this case use 0 in Unit decimals control. For fractional units select the number of decimal places to use (1.25 miles, 1.375 miles, or 1.0075 miles).
Unit decimals in Mile Tracker control defines how many decimal places to use to display fractional units.
Example: Tracking Daily Steps
Consider a situation when we need to track daily steps for health reasons. A count of steps is an integer number. We configure our tracking units label to be Steps and seleect 0 for Unit decimals.
Below is how our data entry page looks like for step tracking. Only whole integer numbers are displayed without fractions, which keeps the user interface simple.
Example: Tracking Run Miles with Fractions
In this example we track daily run miles with 3 digit accuracy for fractional miles. We set Unit decimals value to 3.
Output on data entry pages and reports changes to reflect our choice of fraction accuracy in tracking units.
