  • Build 3636 - Some code refactoring and maintenance.
  • Build 3626 - Clock templates cleaned up from no longer used cloud map strings.

  • Build 3597 - Chile DST adjustment.
  • Build 3590 - SetCapture / ReleaseCapture API calls restored on left button down and up events to support dragging desktop clocks.
  • Build 3586 - Refactoring. Removed SetCapture / ReleaseCapture API calls from the base window class as unnecessary.
  • Build 3585 - Refactoring. Fixed the problem with timer control panel buttons that were invoking the a double-click action for timer when operated on.
  • Build 3563 - Introduced the no_time_table registry flag to control time table availability.
  • Build 3562 - Fixed time table window size issue when no_preferences flag is used.

  • Build 3540 - Support added for negative coordinates for calendar position on screen (useful only when no_preferences flag is used). Such coordinates are treated as relative position of the right bottom corner of calendar window from the right bottom corner of desktop window.
  • Build 3535 - Usability improvement: a single click on a tray clock is now treated the same as a double click.
  • Build 3534 - When preferences are disabled with the no_preferences registry value, the double-click action value is now taken from the default.ini file.

  • Build 3259 - Fixed the problem with transparent backgrounds on desktop clocks. This is a rollback of an earlier change introduced in build 3215 that broke handling of background transparency.

  • Build 3248 - Time table display optimized to fit more columns on screen.
  • Build 3234 - Updated links to the city photos website.
  • Build 3232 - Armenia abandons DST.
  • Build 3229 - Calculation / display of the week number adjusted in Calendar for the 1st week in January.
  • Build 3228 - Calculation algorithm of the week number adjusted to better represent first and last week in a year.
  • Build 3225 - Cosmetic UI improvements. Fixed enabling of the "Adjust for daylight saving time" control for timers and stopwatches. Fixed the problem with disabled countdown timer controls for new timers (introduced in previous build).

  • Build 3216 - Transparency blending disabled for tooltips. This addresses the issue with the previous build 3215 when tooltips became transparent.

  • Build 3154 - Tiraspol, Moldova rolled back a previously announced DST rule change after Ukraine rolled back theirs.
  • Build 3153 - Primary reason for occasional crashes after launching world_clock.exe from the installer on Vista / Windows 7 eliminated.
  • Build 3149 - Fiji DST end date changed again.
  • Build 3144 - Ukraine rolled back previously announced DST abandonment.
  • Build 3141 - Tiraspol will stay on DST (UTC+3) as Europe turns the clocks back 1 hour on the last Sunday in October.
  • Build 3139 - Minor bug fixes related to display of calendar.
  • Build 3138 - Dependency of clocks on changing timezones reduced by using clock locations when available. When a location changes a timezone you no longer need to re-adjust such clock. A regular software update should take care of the adjustment automatically.
  • Build 3135 - Bahia, Brazil - DST reintroduced. A bug-fix for initialization of world map. Cosmetic changes in Greek and German translation files.
  • Build 3131 - Fiji DST adjusted.
  • Build 3120 - Ukraine abandoned DST.
  • Build 3117 - Correction in the Polish localization.
  • Build 3116 - Belarus abandoned DST.
  • Build 3110 - Removed not needed horizontal space in taskbar when no date is shown on digital clocks.
  • Build 3109 - Tooltip word wrapping improved, fixed the problem with updates from earlier versions with desktop clocks using the Classic skin, expiration message improved.
  • Build 3098 - Proposed time zone changes for Russian Primorsky Kray (Vladivostok), and Irkutsk rolled back according to currently available information.
  • Build 3097 - Small bug fixes and improvements that are mostly related to Vista / Windows 7 UAC virtualization. Manifests for the binaries changed to disable it.
  • Build 3093 - Samoa DST adjustment. DST will start on the last Sunday in September at 03:00 local time and will end on the first Sunday in April at 04:00 local time.
  • Build 3089 - Installer fixed to allow for the updates mechanism to work again. Fixed the problem with empty clock label.
  • Build 3088 - Cleanup of localization files.
  • Build 3084 - Occasional exception fixed when working with Preferences.

Changes in World Clock 5.5.1

Released August 23, 2011.
  • Build 3083 - Submarine skin replaced with War Room skin.
  • Build 3081 - The location where the program keeps user settings changed from world_clock.ini file in the program install directory to a common file at %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Anuko\World Clock\world_clock.ini and multiple files in %APPDATA%\Anuko\World Clock\world_clock.ini for each user.
  • Build 3080 - Future time zone changes that are likely to occur in Russia are integrated into the product. The changes affect Irkutsk and 3 cities in Primorsky Kray (Vladivostok, Nakhodka, and Luchegorsk). These cities may move 1 hour closer to Moscow time on Oct. 30, 2011. Because of the nature of this split, Ulan-Ude is also affected. If you monitor the time in any of these cities except Irkutsk you need to re-apply clock setting after update.
  • Build 3056 - Performance fix for applying changes in settings.
  • Build 3055 - Arabic translation improved.
  • Build 3048 - Iran DST rules adjusted for years 2012-2023.
  • Build 3044 - Newfoundland, Canada DST change: daylight saving time will now start at 02:00 (instead of 12:01) local time on the second Sunday in March and end at 02:00 (instead of 12:01) local time on the first Sunday in November.
  • Build 3029 - GMT, UTC, and Zulu are introduced into the city list as virtual locations.
  • Build 3017 - German translation improved.
  • Build 3015 - Eliminated flicker in time table when selecting rows. Improved handling of empty time table.

Released July 16, 2011.
  • Build 3010 - Time Table re-designed.
  • Build 2953 - Tooltip presentation improved. Miscellaneous improvements in translation files.
  • Build 2928 - Silent installation mode changed. Application will no longer launch after a silent install.
  • Build 2927 - Silent installation mode (the /S switch) fixed.
  • Build 2926 - Cosmetic improvements in localization files.
  • Build 2921 - Netherlands Antilles split into 3 individual countries Aruba, Curacao, and Sint Maarten.
  • Build 2918 - Samoa timezone change - they are moving from East to West of International Dateline, most likely on December 29, 2011.

  • Build 2902 - Egypt cancels DST.

  • Build 2804 - Minor bug fixes related to localization during initial launch of the application after install.
  • Build 2801 - Spanish translation improved.
  • Build 2799 - Bug fix: clean non-English installation now launches the application in proper language.
  • Build 2798 - Desktop clock auto-placing algorithm redone. "Show all clocks" feature redone to improve recovery from a no longer existing monitor.
  • Build 2794 - Bug fix: work week numbers are now displayed correctly in tooltip calendar. Bug fix: text visibility in template list improved for users of Classic Windows schema.   • Build 2630 - A pre-configured template added for Stockholm, Paris, London, and New York clocks.
  • Build 2627 - Paraguay DST changed as per their new daylight saving time rules.
  • Build 2626 - A new Forex template added for London and New York time only. Bug fix: date is now shown on analog clocks in taskbar when configured. Cloud and world map image merge is now optimized to reduce occasional cloud map image defects on edges.

  • Build 2615 - Bug fix: clock positioning algorithm now works correctly for Nx2 matrix in taskbar.

Released January 22, 2010.
  • Build 2594 - Presentation in taskbar on Windows 7 and Vista improved. The option "Use transparent skins" on the "Appearance in taskbar" page in Preferences replaced with the "Background" option with opposite meaning.
  • Build 2593 - Dutch translation improved.
  • Build 2588 - Dutch language integrated into installer. Dutch translation of the interface improved. The "Use transparent skins" options it rolled back into the product.

Released December 30, 2009.
  • Build 2505 - Installer made multi-language.
  • Build 2469 - Spanish translation improved.
  • Build 2466 - Cosmetic improvements in localization files.
  • Build 2465 - Hyperlinks in tooltips are now displayed with proper, continuous underline on Windows 7.
  • Build 2465 - Changing language in Preferences now has an immediate effect on all pages for translated resources.
  • Build 2463 - Tooltip removal / reappearance redone for better user experience.
  • Build 2462 - Taskbar clocks are properly refreshed now after transition from 12:59 AM to 1:00 AM.
  • Build 2462 - A single click on a taskbar clock with tooltip now removes the tooltip.
  • Build 2459 - When an update is available the product will now show its version. Previously, only build date was available. Also, a cosmetic improvement of the "About Anuko World Clock" windows. Version type (trial, full, etc.) is now on a separate line.
  • Build 2457 - Japanese translation improved.
  • Build 2454 - build number added to the product version for more accurate version determination. For example, in version 5.3.3.2454 the last number is the build number. It corresponds precisely to code version 2454, which we can obtain and re-build for bug fixes and troubleshooting.
  • Plain - Black skin introduced (with black font) to address presentation issues on white Windows 7 / Vista themes.
  • Fiji time zone change: DST re-introduced.
  • Bug fix: GDI+ error on system shutdown fixed.
  • Dimensions and positioning algorithm for some clock skins improved, especially for the Illuminator skin. It allows them to stack clocks one atop another in narrow taskbars.
  • Bug fix: future time zone changes such as introduction of DST in Southern Hemisphere countries like Samoa are now interpreted correctly.

Changes in World Clock 5.3.3

Released October 30, 2009.
  • Transparent taskbars in Windows 7 and Vista are now supported.
  • Windows 2000 support discontinued.
  • Syria time zone change - DST ended on Oct. 30 at 00:00 in 2009.
  • Argentina time zone change. There will be no DST this year.
  • Bug fix: time table now remembers 24-hour time format properly.
  • Bangladesh time zone changed. DST will not be switched back as originally planned.
  • San Luis, Argentina time zone changed. DST started 1 week earlier in 2009.
  • Japanese translation improved.
  • Bug fix: a stopwatch with start time in future will now start automatically.
  • Minor correction in the Russian localization file.
  • When exporting settings to a file the ".ini" extension is now added automatically to file name.
  • Interaction with the city list on the world map improved. When searching for a city a string in the "Search location" field is now applied as a filter to the list.
  • The "View city photos" in the right-click menu is no longer displayed when clock or timer is not associated with a specific location.
  • "Put clock on desktop" / "Put clock in taskbar" menu options renamed to "Place on desktop" / "Place in taskbar".
  • "Pin to clock group" option renamed to "Attach to group".
  • Three minor bug fixes, all related to alarms user interface.

Changes in World Clock 5.3.2

Released September 30, 2009.
  • Product name changed to Anuko World Clock. Resource strings, file names, and localization files changed accordingly.
  • Bug fix: stopping a stopwatch with running seconds now works correctly without decrementing seconds count by 1.
  • Bangladesh time zone change - DST did not end on September 26, 2009 as originally anticipated.
  • Bug fix: timer control button (triangle) fixed for 16-bit screen resolution mode.
  • Bug fix: alarms set at every 2+ weeks should now fire properly.
  • Bug fix: "Overlay labels on analog clocks" option is now working properly for taskbar clocks.
  • Samoa time zone changed - DST introduced.
  • Portuguese, Spanish, and German translations improved.
  • Egypt DST end date moved to third Friday in August.
  • Important time zone updates for Bangladesh, Egypt, and Western Australia (no DST anymore).

  • Minor, cosmetic installer improvement.
  • Clock positioning algorithm for multiple-monitor and docking station combination improved.
  • Jordan time zone correction: DST now starts at 00:00 on the last Friday in March.
  • Norwegian translation added.
  • Bug fix: corrected minor DST transition error for rare situations when DST start and end times are specified as absolute dates.
  • Morocco time zone changed. DST in 2009 will be in effect from June 1 until August 21.
  • San Luis, Argentina time zone changed from GMT-03:00 without DST to GMT-04:00 with DST.
  • Syria time zone changed. DST will now start on the last Friday in March (instead of the first Friday in April).
  • Tunisia time zone changed - no daylight saving time from now on.
