How to Configure a Clock for a Specific Timezone

Sometimes it may be necessary to configure a clock for a particular time zone, such as EST (USA Eastern Standard Time), or PDT (USA Pacific Daylight Time), etc.

To do that, configure the clock for any major location within time zone. For example:
  • EDT - New York, NY
  • CDT - Houston, TX
  • MDT - Denver, CO
  • PDT - San Francisco, CA

Step-by-step Instructions

  • Open Preferences.
  • In the navigation tree on the left in Preferences, click on the clock label you want to configure.

  • After you click on the Change... button, the World Map should open. Find and select your city and then click Apply on the bottom.
Select a new location on the World Map and click Apply

  • Optionally, edit clock label. Here, the location for the clock is New York, NY, United States but the label was edited to read EDT.

  • Finally, click OK or Apply in Preferences.
