How to Configure a Redirect to HTTPS

If you use Apache, the following procedure describes how to redirect all HTTP requests to HTTPS.

Add the following lines to the end of httpd.conf file (in Time Tracker virtual appliance, the full path to this file is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf):

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/$
RewriteRule ^(.*) https://timetracker.example.com$1 [R=permanent]

Replace timetracker.example.com in the last line with your time tracker URL. Then reload apache config with the following command:

service httpd graceful
