Pie Charts in Time Tracker

To view pie-charts in Time Tracker, enable the Charts plugin on the Plugins page.

Once you do it, a new tab called Charts appears in the menu. Use it to view various charts. They provide a visual breakdown of how work time is spent on different projects, tasks, or clients.

In addition to pie-chart itself, a table with slice precentages and time totals is also shown. On the picture above, it is to the right of the chart. On narrow mobile screens, it is shown below the chart.

On the Charts page, you can:
  • Select a favorite report. When selected, favorite report options are used to calculate totals.
  • Select chart type to see time allocation by project, task, or client. These are the options in the Chart dropdown control. To see clients there you must enable the Clients plugin. For tasks to be available use projects and tasks tracking mode.
  • Switch user to view pie charts for. To switch users, you need to be logged on as a group manager or a co-manager. Regular users can view their own data in charts and cannot switch user.
  • Select time interval for pie chart using the Interval selector and the calendar on the bottom. Options in the Interval selector are relative to the selected date in the calendar.

Charts for All Users in Group

Time Tracker version 1.21.0.5650 was improved by enabling charts for all users in group in addition to individual users. This option is available to user roles having the view_all_charts access right (default Co-manager role and above). To view charts for all users, select the all option from the bottom of the User dropdown on the Charts page. All users option includes both active and inactive users in group.

Charts for Favorite Reports

The option appeared in Time Tracker version 1.22.2.5750. When a favorite reports is selected, the Charts plugin uses report selections for calculations. User , Interval controls, as well as Calendar become irrelevant and get hidden. You can only select chart type (breakdown by projects, tasks, or clients) for selected report.
