How to Configure a Clock

This page describes how to configure World Clock manually by using its Preferences. The first thing to do is to open Preferences window. It may look like this:


Once you have Preferences open, you can perform different tasks such as adding, modifying, or deleting clocks and other objects.

To start configuring an existing clock, select the corresponding clock node in the navigation tree on the left by clicking on its label. On the screenshot above, the London clock node is selected. On the right-hand side in Preferences, you can see the following settings:

• Its location is London, United Kingdom.
• The clock label is London.
• An action on double click (what happens when you double-click on the clock) is to open Preferences with clock settings.
• The clock is to be displayed in taskbar.

Configuring Clock Time Zone

• To change clock time zone click on the Change... button in Preferences. It is located on the right of the Location field.

• World Map should open. Find a new location on the map, for example New York, NY and click Apply.

• Once you do that, the location and the label in Preferences change to reflect new time zone.

Changing Clock Label - Renaming Clock

• To change clock label, type a new name into the Label field.

Changing Double-Click Action

• To change clock behavior on double-click, select an appropriate action in the Action on double-click dropdown.

Changing where Clock Runs - in Taskbar or on Desktop

• To change where the clock runs, select either in taskbar or on desktop in the Show this clock groupbox.

• Finally, click OK or Apply button to apply changes.
