Where is the Activity Tab

In older versions of Time Tracker tasks were called activities. There was only one mode of tracking work time - by project and activity. In other words, for each time entry you had to specify a project, and an activity. On top of Time Tracker pages, one could see the Activities tab, along with the Projects tab. This was refactored.

Activities Renamed to Tasks

Instead of an older Activity tab, a new Tasks tab is now available, which provides the same function.

Tasks Are Optional

Time Tracker allows you to control whether to track work time by tasks or not. You do it by adjusting the Tracking mode option on the Group settings page. Available tracking modes are:
  • Projects and tasks - in this mode the Tasks tab is visible.
  • Projects - in this mode the Tasks tab is invisible. This is the default tracking mode that is in effect upon creating a new group.
  • Time - in this tracking mode there are no projects or tasks. Example: users simply punch in and punch out each day.
If you need to track time by projects and tasks, adjust the Tracking mode value on the Group settings page accordingly.
