It is a convenience feature that is used to display warnings when editing time and expense items.
On edit pages, there are Save and Copy buttons. Saving modifies an original entry. Copying creates a new one and keeps the original.
Occasionally, users change the date of an already existing entry with an intention to create a new one (Copy) for another day, but mistakenly press the Save button. This creates a new entry for another date and removes the entry from the original date. The Confirm saving option displays the following warning in such case: Date has changed.
