When you are using the Week view plugin, this display option determines whether or not the Week menu is available. Having it in menu allows for quick access to the week view page, rather then going with two clicks through Time page, and then Week view click. Week menu config option Week menu in Time Tracker
However, if you already have a big menu and do not want to clutter it further, navigation between the views is done via the links on Time and Week pages. Navigation links to day and week views in Time Tracker
These two methods are mutually exclusive, it's either in menu or as navlinks on the Time and Week pages.
