How to Login to Time Tracker

Before you can login to Time Tracker, two things must be done:
  • Time Tracker must be installed somewhere. This is the location (address) to use in your browser to log in to Time Tracker. For example, for free hosting of Time Tracker go to https://timetracker.anuko.com but if you use another installation go to another address. So, the first thing is to identify where to log in to.

  • Secondly, your account must exist in Time Tracker.

How to Create a Time Tracker Account

If you are a single user or an organization top manager, start by going to the Register tab on the login screen. On this page, create a top manager account to use by creating a new top group. Groups are organizational units to which users belong. You can read more about groups here.

When the account is created you can use Time Tracker. You can also add other accounts to your group on the Users page.

When someone else has created an account for you, they should have provided you with these items:
  • Web address (URL) of Time Tracker to use.
  • Your login and password. If your Time Tracker uses LDAP Authentication these can be the same as on the existing systems you already use.

Register Tab Not Available

It is possible to configure Time Tracker in a way that no Register tab is present. A person who installs Time Tracker may do so by setting the MULTIORG_MODE value to false in config.php.

In this scenario only admin account can create top groups. In other words, you must login to Time Tracker as admin and create a new group there. Once a top group exists, a top manager can login and add other users to the group. The admin account is a special account in Time Tracker that is used for system maintenance.

Logins and Passwords - Case Sensitive

Logins and passwords to Time Tracker are case sensitive. It means that UserOne is not the same as userOne or userone. Login to Time Tracker with properly typed logins and passwords.

How to Reset a Forgotten Password

If you forgot Time Tracker password, you can reset it.

How to Log out from Time Tracker

After you login to Time Tracker, the top left menu in it changes from Login to Logout. Click it to exit the application.
