Dynamic Highlights in World Clock
Anuko
World Clock can display the clocks differently depending on current time and day of the week. This is accomplished with
dynamic highlights. Here is an example screenshot of clocks in taskbar with three different highlights followed by another example without any.

A
highlight is simply a custom colour that is mixed up with the clock image in the proportion you define. It provides an effect similar to that of an office highlighter when applied to words in books. Highlighted sections are displayed with a different colour.
Highlights are time-sensitive but each has only one color. Dynamic change of color is accomplished by having several highlights for each clock that are active at different times. This is different from
permanent highlights that are not time-sensitive.
Highlight Properties
Up to 10 highlights can be defined for each individual clock. You can see them in
Preferences.

Highlight properties in World Clock Preferences
Each highlight has the following characteristics:
- Priority. At any moment of time, only one highlight can be applied - the one with the highest priority.
- Time of the day the highlight is active.
- Days of the week the highlight is active.
- Color.
- Color intensity (the mixing degree, or strength, with which to apply the additional color).
Highlight Priority
Highlight priority is determined by its relative position in Preferences, as related to other highlights. On the screenshot below, two highlights are defined for Adelaide clock:
Open for business, and
Office closed. The
Open for business is higher in the navigation tree. Therefore, it has a higher priority. When two or more highlights are active at the same time, the one with the highest priority is applied.

Priority of the "Open for business" highlight is higher than that of the "Office closed"
You can move highlights up and down in Preferences by selecting them and using the
Move Up and
Move Down buttons. When you move highlights, their priorities change according to their relative positions.
Highlight Time of the Day
To set the time of the day when the highlight is active provide appropriate values into the
Start time and
End time fields. The highlight below starts at 09:00 and ends at 17:00.

"Start time" and "End time" values determine when the highlight is active during the day
Highlight Days of the Week
To set the days of week when the highlight applies select the required days as on the screenshot below. This highlight is active 5 days a week Monday through Friday.

To set highlight color use the
Change Color... button. Set the intensity of highlight with the
Strength slider.

Use the "Change Color..." button to change highlight color
Copying a Highlight to Another Clock
If you want to use the same highlight on another clock, hold the CTRL key while dragging that highlight to the Highlights section of another clock and drop it there. It will create a duplicate of that highlight where you drop it.
